Monroe Consulting Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a general insurance company, which is seeking an experienced insurance underwriter to fill the position of Head of Accident and Health. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will ensure successful A&H operations. On top of that, the winning candidate will be responsible for fostering the business line growth and customer relations.


Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational environments, both centrally and at vendor sites, for optimum performance in a diverse customer contact and fulfillment center
Deliver tactical and strategic planning to insure the infrastructure required to support the business growth and efficiency goals is in place
Develop new products, agency campaigns/contests and other business line initiatives
Create and implement region-wide operational metrics and conduct regularly scheduled operational audits to determine compliance against established and defined performance guidelines and rules
Work closely with business line management to evaluate current service requirements including customer service level agreement criteria and internal metrics for availability, performance and other service attributes
Vendor selection
Prepare annual budgets
Develop operational procedures and routines for the department, including forecasting, scheduling and resources planning
Monitoring underwriting processing and claims settlement to be compliance with company policy and standard turnaround time

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in any major
At least 7 years’ experience in Accident and Health Underwriting
Holding AAIK certification preferred
Strong understanding of general insurance operations
Business acumen
Highly analytical and meticulous with great attention to detail
A good problem-solver with great communication and interpersonal skills
Experienced in working in multinational environment, with matrix coordination to regional office
Energetic and dynamic personality
Strong leadership, with ability to manage more than 20 people
Fluent English
